About Us

Our Mission

To bridge the critical gap between foster care and independent living by creating a home that embodies love, stability, and opportunity, ensuring every young woman has the tools and guidance needed to live with dignity, resilience, and independence.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every young adult aging out of foster care is met with safety, compassion, and opportunity. At Love Shi Care Home, our vision is to build a healing-centered, faith-rooted community where young men and women can recover, grow, and thrive.

Our Goal

Our long-term goal is to expand beyond transitional housing and develop permanent housing communities that offer true stability and belonging. We are committed to creating pathways for emotional wellness, educational advancement, vocational growth, and long-term independence through partnerships with universities, trade schools, workforce organizations, and holistic wellness providers.

Our Story

Love Shi Care Home was born from a deeply personal calling — a blend of lived experience, compassion, faith, and an unwavering belief that every young adult deserves love, safety, and opportunity. For years, our founder carried a quiet but persistent burden for young people who lacked stable homes, guidance, and support during some of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives.

Growing up and into adulthood, she witnessed firsthand what instability, trauma, and the absence of consistent support can do to a young heart. She also witnessed the opposite — how God can restore, redirect, and rebuild a life when someone is given love, structure, and a chance. Over time, this burden transformed into a vision: to create a home where young adults aging out of foster care could find the kind of support, safety, and spiritual grounding she once needed herself.

The name "Love Shi" reflects both identity and mission:

LOVE, because love is what heals, restores, and breaks cycles.

SHI, tied to the woman entrusted with the vision — a reminder that healing begins with personal truth, surrender, and obedience.

But the story of Love Shi grew deeper as life unfolded.

Challenges, heartbreak, domestic violence, and personal trials created an unexpected layer of clarity. In one of the hardest seasons of her life, she learned the true meaning of rebuilding, regaining stability, and rediscovering her purpose. As God restored her, He made it clear: this home would not only exist to shelter young people, but to guide them into identity, dignity, independence, and emotional safety.

What began as one person's healing has grown into a community mission — a place where young adults can find the safety, support, and opportunity they deserve. Love Shi Care Home became more than an idea — it became a calling rooted in lived experience, compassion, and faith.

Today, Love Shi Care Home stands as a safe landing place and a launching pad for young men and women ages 18–24 who are aging out of foster care. Many of these young adults are stepping into independence alone. Love Shi ensures they no longer have to. We offer the structure, mentorship, resources, and emotional care that help them grow from survival into stability, and from stability into purpose.

Love Shi is the story of what happens when pain becomes purpose, when God turns ashes into beauty, and when healing becomes a path for others to walk through.

This is our story.

This is His work.

This is Love Shi.

Our Team

Nashira Bomar

Founder & Executive Director

Nashira Bomar is the heart behind Love Shi Care Home — a visionary, a mother, a builder of safe spaces, and a woman guided by faith, healing, and purpose. She founded Love Shi from a place of deep compassion and restoration, inspired by her own journey of overcoming, rebuilding, and choosing wholeness again and again.

Her background spans behavioral health, financial literacy, business development, applied science, and ongoing studies in Psychology (Pre-Counseling). This blend allows her to understand both the emotional and practical needs of young adults stepping into independence. She brings together emotional wellness, lived experience, mentorship, structure, and faith — the pillars of Love Shi Care Home's mission.

The creation of Love Shi was not just a decision; it was a calling. Nashira recognized a profound need for young adults, especially those aging out of foster care or transitioning without support, to have a safe place to land — a place that feels like home, where healing is nurtured and futures are built with intention.

Nature is one of Nashira's greatest sanctuaries. She finds peace and grounding in the quiet beauty of God's creation — hiking trails, trees, mountains, water, and open air. These spaces are where she reconnects with herself and with God, gaining clarity and strength for the work she leads.

"Every young adult deserves stability, compassion, structure, and someone who genuinely cares where they end up. Their healing matters. Their future matters. My mission is to stand in the gap until they believe that for themselves."
